WALLS:
CMU WALLS TO RECEIVED A LIQUID APPLIED AIR-BARRIER AT INTERIOR PRIOR
TO CONTINUOUS INTERIOR RIGID INSULATION. THE COMBINATION OF
AIR-SEALING AND INSULATION WILL IMPROVE INSULATION, REDUCE HEAT
LOSS, AND REDUCE HUMIDITY.
ROOF:
THE EXISTING SERIES OF BUILT-UP ROOFS HAS FAILED AND IS REPLACED
WITH A SINGLE-SPAN SCISSOR TRUSS SYSTEM. THE TRUSS PROVIDES A GIANT
VOID FOR PREMIUM INSULATION AT THE ROOF PLANE, A SLOPE FOR SOLAR
PANEL INSTALLATION AND A ELEVATED CEILING HEIGHT AT THE INTERIOR FOR
UTILITIES WITHIN A CONDITIONED SPACE. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TRUSS
BECOMES A CONTINUOUS AIR-BARRIER WITH THE INSTALLATION OF GYSPUM
BOARD SYSTEM.
FLOOR:
THE EXISTING CONCRETE FLOOR WILL REMAIN. THE EXISTING DRAIN-LINE
LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN AND ALL NEW EQUIPMENT TO TIE-INTO THESE
EXISTING LOCATIONS TO EXTENT POSSIBLE. ANY MODIFICATIONS AS PER
CODE REQUIREMENTS ARE TO BE PATCHED. THE FLOOR THROUGHOUT WILL
BE A STAINED AND SEALED CONCRETE SYSTEM BY PROSOCO - THUS
UTILIZING THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND CREATING A HEALTHY, DURABLE
AND AFFORDABLE FLOOR.
THERMAL IMPROVEMENTS:
THE INTERIOR SPACE WILL BECOME A CONTINUOUS AIR-BARRIER. THE ROOF
INSULATION WILL BE INCREASED TO R-85. THE EXTERIOR WALL INSULATION
WILL BE INCREASED TO R-17. THE ENTRANCE STOREFRONT WILL BE
REPLACED WITH HI-PERFORMANCE INSULATING STOREFRONT SYSTEM WITH
INSULATED WINDOWS AND AIR-SEAL JOINTS.
HVAC:
A NEW HI-EFFICIENCY HVAC SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED WITHIN THE
CONDITIONED SPACE.
