NOTICE OF INSTRUCTIONS OF APPROVAL
TO PETITIONER/APPLICANT
February 1, 2021
Dear Petitioner,
Please be advised that on February 1, 2021, the Zoning Board of Appeals granted your request for a VARIANCE for property at 1 Willow Street, Dartmouth, MA. The Board’s Decision has
been time-stamped on February 2, 2021 which means that on February 22, 2021 your 20-day appeal period will be exhausted.
After the 20-day appeal period has been exhausted, you must go to the office of the Town Clerk, located in the Dartmouth Town Hall, 400 Slocum Road, and obtain your certified copy of
the Board’s Decision. The enclosed Decision is not a certified copy.
You must take this certified copy of the Board’s Decision and record it with the Bristol County Registry of Deeds, located at 25 North Sixth Street, New Bedford before the Decision is
considered valid. A recording fee will be charged at the Bristol County S.D. Registry of Deeds. You may call the Registry of Deeds at (508)993-2605 to find out the recording fee and
get directions if necessary.
Bring the receipt obtained from the Registry of Deeds showing the new Book & Page number back to the Town Clerk and the Zoning Board of Appeals Office. After this is received, you may
go to the Building Department and they will advise you as to what steps you must take to complete your project.
Please be aware that DECISIONS DO EXPIRE and it is your responsibility to keep track of the appeal period and Decision expiration date so that you may move forward and obtain the necessary
permit(s) for your project.
