3.3 WOOD I-JOIST/FLOOR TRUSS SYSTEM
3.3.1 Wood Ijoist/floortruss system shall comply with the requirements set forth in the manufacturer's
code evaluation report. (Shop drawings for floor trusses shall be stamped by a MA PE)
3.5 FLOOR SHEATHING
3.5.1 Floor Sheathing Type (per /RC 2015 Chapter 5)

3.53 Floor Sheathing Fastening shall be 8d nails (a) 6" edge / 12" field (Table 2)
3.6 FLOOR BRACING
3 6.1 Blocking shall be provided at panel edges perpendicular to floor
framing members in the first two truss or joist bays and shall be spaced
at a maximum of 4 feet on center (Fig 9.1) Refer to (Table 2) for
nailing requirements.

i. Panels shall be installed with strength ads parallel to studs.
ii. All horizontal joints shall occur over and be nailed to framing.
iii. On single stun, construction, panels shall be attached to bottom plates and top member of the double top
plate.
iv. On two story construction, upper panels shall be attached to the top member o£the upper double top plate and
to band joist at bottom of panel. Upper attachment of lower panel shall be made to band joist and lower
attad)ment made to lowest plate at first floor framing.
Horizontal nail spacing at double top plates, band joists, said girders shall be a double row of Sd staggered at 3
inches on center per figures below: Vertical and Horizontal Nailing for Panel Attachment
4.3 EXTERIOR WALL SHEATHING
4.3.1 Sheathing Type shall be min. 7116 OSB
4.3.2 Edge Nail Spacing shall be 6" O.C.
4.3.3 Field Nail Spacing shall be 12"O.C.
4.3.4 Wall Cladding shall be Rated for 130 MPH Wind Speed

5.4.1 Wood roof truss system shall be designed, manufactured, and installed in accordance
with ANSLTPII National Design Standard for Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss
Construction, the truss design drawings, and/or the manufacture's code evaluation report.
