AND ONE (1) 30" DIAMETER ACCESS MANHOLE SITUATED OVER THE EFFLUENT PUMP AND
PIPING AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. THE ACCESS MANHOLES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF
CONCRETE BLOCKS OR REINFORCED PRE -CAST MANHOLE RISERS AND SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH
CAST IRON FRAMES AND COVERS SET TO GRADE.
3. THE FINAL EFFLUENT DISPOSAL SYSTEM SHALL BE FURNISHED WITH ONE (1) DISTRIBUTION BOX
AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. THE DISTRIBUTION BOX SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF REINFORCED
PRE -CAST CONCRETE AS MANUFACTURED BY J & R PRE -CAST, ITEM NO. B-66DD, OR
APPROVED EQUAL, AND SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH AN ACCESS MANHOLE WHICH SHALL BE
CONSTRUCTED OF CONCRETE BLOCKS OR REINFORCED PRECAST MANHOLE RISERS AND SHALL BE
PROVIDED WITH AN 24 INCH DIAMETER CAST IRON FRAME AND COVER SET TO GRADE. A TEE
MUST BE PROVIDED WHICH WILL EXTEND TO 1 INCH ABOVE ALL OUTLET INVERT ELEVATIONS.
4. TANK BASE PREPARATION SHALL BE AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS AND SHALL CONFORM TO
THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE PRECAST STRUCTURE MANUFACTURER. PRECAST STRUCTURES
SHALL BE SUPPORTED ON A COMPACTED LEVEL FOUNDATION OF SCREENED GRAVEL OR
CRUSHED STONE AT LEAST 6 INCHES THICK.
5. EACH TANK SHALL BE ASSEMBLED IN SUCH A MANNER THAT EACH SECTION IS LOWERED INTO
PLACE, POSITIONED AND LEVELED BEFORE THE NEXT SECTION IS INSTALLED. ALL JOINT
SURFACES SHALL BE CLEAN PRIOR TO PLACING SEALER AND GASKET, AND PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY
OF SUBSEQUENT SECTIONS. EACH JOINT SHALL BE MADE WATERTIGHT AND SEALED WITH THE
MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED SEAL AND GASKET.
6. THE BACKFILL AROUND EACH TANK SHALL CONSIST OF SAND, GRAVEL OR SELECT FILL FREE OF
ORGANIC DEBRIS, FROZEN EARTH AND STONES OR COBBLES OVER 3 INCHES IN SIZE. ALL
BACKFILL SHALL BE PROPERLY COMPACTED TO PREVENT SETTLEMENT AND THE CREATION OF
