Dear David &Jennifer Koop:
It has come to the attention of this office that you have removed the plantings along the driveway side
of the property line.
Per the Town of Dartmouth Zoning By-
elaws,Section 4B,Subsection 4B.407 (Parking & Driveways),states
that the ten foot setback for driveways to proprty lines may be reduced to five feet as long as the
property line is screened by an evergreen hedge at least five feet high on the side closer to the property
line. The hedge shall solidly be grown in within two years of planting. Removing this planting is zoning
violation and must be rectified as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Should you have any questions or concerns,

Re: Landscape hedge, 5 Medeiros Lane
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Koop,
The time has come to install the driveway hedge as required in the zoning bylaw. A reasonable
amount of time has passed since the end of winter and prime planting season is upon us. The
planting must be installed within 14 days from receipt of this letter. Failure to comply with this
request will result in fines as provided for in the zoning bylaw. Enclosed herewith is a copy of
the regulation. Feel free to contact my office with any questions you may have.
Ve ruly yours,
